Grub

antiX is able to boot live either using bios (legacy) or UEFI mode. There are 2 separate bootloaders and this FAQ relates to the live Grub menu.

Why is the bootloader menu different if I boot using UEFI?

UEFI boot does not work as reliably using Gfxboot and so we decided to utilise Grub bootloader instead. Thanks to fehlix from the MX Linux project, we have made booting via Grub to inclue all the features in legacy booting. The image below shows the opening screen.

As you can see, user should first choose the kernel. Note: Default is set to Legacy (5.10).

Where are all the F options that I see in Gfxboot?

They appear under Advanced Options (screenshot 1) Press Enter once Advanced Options has been selected and you will be presented with this screen. Now, choose the various advanced options you want to use and it is a good idea to Save options before returning to Back to main nenu
